Artec Studio is dedicated to developing high-quality architectural lighting projects through close, proactive relationships with the design teams and clients. Shaping light, we create innovative lighting designs that enhance the architecture and its contents, while achieving the program and sustainable goals. Our lights emerge from the experience developed in our lighting designs projects and the study of the function and emotion of the light interacting with space and people. The studio, by merging research, technology and taking care of details, has developed new concepts of light. Our designs are produced by recognized manufacturers and have been internationally awarded.

Artec Studio’s lab is dedicated to exploring the most interactive, social, and artistic aspects of the light as a channel to create intangible and exciting light art content. This enables our team to shape the perception and cognition when being part of experiences, interacting with artworks, or creating identities through light.
Dream & Nature
La Biennale di Venezia 2018The project of the Pavilion of Catalonia at the Biennale di Venezia is based on a recurrent idea by RCR Arquitectes to represent their dream of nature. A world of dreams that comes from La Vila in Olot, an new experimental laboratory for architecture, and is presented as an exhibition made exclusively for the biennale.
In the pavilion, the abstraction generated by light, the enveloping plastic material and hundreds of hanging Fresnel lenses, aim to immerse the visitor in a sensorial experience in which the limits of the space are blurred. Light projections and graphical representations on some of the lenses, reveals the most intimate universe inhabited by Rafael, Carme and Ramon, 2017 Pritzker winners.
The lighting design generates a dreamlike atmosphere. As the light interacts with the plastic materials and lenses, it creates multiple effects and light densities throughout the different exhibition zones, immersing visitors in an ambience that strengthens the architectural concept.
