lighting design
Artec Studio is dedicated to developing high-quality architectural lighting projects through close, proactive relationships with the design teams and clients. Shaping light, we create innovative lighting designs that enhance the architecture and its contents, while achieving the program and sustainable goals. Our lights emerge from the experience developed in our lighting designs projects and the study of the function and emotion of the light interacting with space and people. The studio, by merging research, technology and taking care of details, has developed new concepts of light. Our designs are produced by recognized manufacturers and have been internationally awarded.

Artec Studio’s lab is dedicated to exploring the most interactive, social, and artistic aspects of the light as a channel to create intangible and exciting light art content. This enables our team to shape the perception and cognition when being part of experiences, interacting with artworks, or creating identities through light.
Templo Birkat Itzjak
Ciudad de México, México 2016The lighting concept for the Marina Temple aims to achieve a contemporary look and a high visual comfort for the pray and study of the Torah, without losing the essence of tradition, respect and liturgy that must be perceived in these religious buildings.
A steel mesh incorporated into a glass, which also acts as the border of the area, was illuminated with flush light to produce the appropriate contrast to achieve this ambience of privacy but at the same time to allow women to see the Rabbi in the lower level.
A lighting control system was incorporated to select the appropriate scene for each situation and to allow the liturgy experience to reach its maxim state. The architectural materials used were wood and stones of warm colors.
