Following the Star in the Shadows of Sagrada Família
In the heart of Barcelona, the district of L’Eixample transforms into a magical canvas during the holiday season. Artec Studio, under the creative guidance of Maurici Ginés, has been entrusted with designing a captivating spectacle for the Sagrada Familia Christmas Fair: a decomposed Star formed by five luminous elements, inviting everyone to interact with its enchanting glow.
Artec Studio’s ephemeral light art installation illuminates the fair surroundings both day and night, offering a shared experience for citizens and passersby. The innovative decomposed star, set at ground level, becomes a magnetic point of attraction and interaction, symbolizing the guiding star followed by the Three Wise Men in a unique form.
The luminous elements seamlessly integrate with the bustling commercial activity, casting reflections during the day and illuminating the night. The festive atmosphere extends with golden chains adorning lamp posts, reminiscent of the Three Wise Men’s crowns.
Artec Studio’s light sculpture, crafted with steel and translucent acrylic, presents a warm choreography of lights. The elements, ranging from 1 to 2.60 meters in width, are separated by 8 meters, inviting everyone to walk through their celestial embrace. Anchored by a hidden support structure, these luminous emissaries promise a radiant performance from any angle.
Programmed to change with the passing hours, the installation breathes life into the nocturnal urban landscape.
Simultaneously, also in L’Eixample, the Three Kings Fair on Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes prepares to welcome the three magicians with two ephemeral installations that illuminate the heart of the city both day and night.
