Composing geometric light perceptions
Inputs is a creation by Maurici Ginés which comes out of his ongoing research on the concept of color, reflection, and abstract composition of the light that is formed in our perception.
In this series of three pieces, Maurici plays with material and light to create virtual color sensations that stimulate the viewer’s senses. The light emerges from each piece almost “magically”. One color is turned into another by changing the observation point. This crafts a joint production relationship between the artwork and the viewer, a recurring theme in Maurici’s work.
Inputs is about the value of color and the virtual as content approached from a light art perspective, interferences of light which interact with each other to take on a unique value for the observer.
Materials: Methacrylate, dichroic filter, anodized aluminum, LEDs and control equipment.
