The lighting design approach was to generate an ambient lighting that would organize light levels and allow for a nocturnal operation in each area of the harbor. The transition between the city and the waterfront was resolved as a single typology, using color light, to unify and define the perimeter of the space. Buildings become “lamps” that filter light out to the pier.
Altogether, light provides a feeling of comfort, warmth, and relaxation throughout the marina, highlights the waterfront promenade, and establishes a visual connection with the city at night.
