The city of Mataró unveils a new attraction for both residents and visitors: the interactive facade of Espai Mataró Connecta! This installation, designed and produced by Artec Studio, premieres alongside the audiovisual piece titled “Soundscapes and Sensations of Mataró”, drawing inspiration from the city’s own visual and auditory map.

Spanning 36 meters in width, the facade features 311 specially designed luminous slats, forming an interactive media display capable of producing a stunning array of visual effects, boasting over 1.07 billion unique color combinations.

The ingenious arrangement of these slats allows to enjoy exterior views from within while inviting natural light to create a kaleidoscope of multicolored reflections even when the installation is not illuminated.

Furthermore, the advanced lighting and control system empowers City Council personnel to generate and project dynamic, interactive light content using a mobile application.
