Maurici Ginés is a well-regarded figure in the field of design, known for his unique and disruptive approach. A pioneer in lighting design in Spain, Maurici Ginés launched his career in 1994 with his first project for the Museum of Science in Barcelona. In 1998, he founded Artec Studio with the goal of developing independent and professional lighting projects while elevating the profession in the country.
Between 2008 and 2014, he served as president of the Professional Association of Lighting Designers of Spain (APDI) and has been a member of the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) since 2009. His work has earned both national and international accolades, and his teaching roles in the Master’s in Architectural Lighting Design at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and at UPC-Arquine in Mexico City highlight his commitment to nurturing new talent.
Over his professional journey, he has led more than 300 projects across countries such as Spain, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, and China.
